I need help merging different layers Help in progress I want to merge multiple layers that all are different layer types, for example when one is on multiply and one is on delete sorry if these aren't the right terms my krita isn't english.
Sadly when I do the layer type effect disappears. Is there a way i can merge layers and keep it looking the same? Nope, because there is just not enough math in the world to make it look like that : Do you want a more specific explanation or "it's complicated and often cannot be done" is fine?

Do note that this tutorial requires you to use Krita 2. It has a certain speed-up that allows you to work with transform masks reliably! I like drawing flowers because they are a bit of an unappreciated subject, yet allow for a lot of practice in terms of rendering. Also, you can explore cool tricks in Krita with them.
These flowers are usually pink to red and appear in clusters, the clusters allow me to exercise with transform masks! I made an a5 dpi canvas. I also have the background colour set to a yellow-greyish colour CAC5B3partly because it reminds me of paper, and partly because bright screen white can strain the eyes and make it difficult to focus on values and colours while painting.

Other artists use c0c0c0, or even more different values. First we make a bunch of branches. Look at the reference how branches are formed. Then we make an approximation of a single flower on a layer. We make a few of these, all on separate layers.
We also do not colour pick the red, but we guess at it. This is good practice, so we can learn to analyse a colour as well as how to use our colour selector. Now, we will make clusters. A clone layer is a layer that is literally a clone of the original. Or can we? Transform Masks are a really powerful feature introduced in 2.
Transform masks allow us to do a transform operation onto a layer, any given layer, and have it be completely dynamic! This includes our clone layer flowers! A transform mask should now have been added. Now, with the transform mask selected, select the transform tool, and rotate our clone layer.A clone layer is a layer that keeps an up-to-date copy of another layer.
You cannot draw or paint on it directly, but it can be used to create effects by applying different types of layers and masks e. To do so, select one or more Clone Layers in the docker hold Ctrl or Shift and left-click the layers. Then, right-click on any selected layer.
In the context menu, there is an action named Set Copy From. Click it. If the current source of them consists of multiple layers, the default activated selection in the drop-down menu will be blank. Otherwise, it would be the common source of selected Clone Layers.
If you select one layer in the drop-down menu, a preview of the canvas will be shown. Click OK to apply the changes. Click Cancel to discard the changes. If you make changes to the image outside the dialog, the changes will be applied and the dialog will be automatically closed.
Possible target layers are determined through the following criteria: Any Clone Layer that is selected is invalid. A parent or clone of any invalid layer is invalid.
